On October 22, 1989, Jacob Wetterling would be abducted only a few blocks away from his home in St. Joseph, Minnesota. His case would remain unsolved for 27 years and would be the most prolific case coming out of Minnesota. After renewed interest by the public in 2014, investigators were pushed to take another deep dive into the case file. This would lead to finally some answers for the Wetterling family. Through this horrible tragedy, the Jacob Wetterling case has had a major influence on America and has shaped our criminal justice system for the better. Thank you to the Wetterling family for their perseverance and pursuit to better the lives of the future generations.
